This mission was unlike any other in history. It's the first time a private company launched a crew of only paid passengers and no professional astronauts. I think it will be remembered as the beginning of opening up space to everyday people.
On top of sending four people to orbit, the mission was to bring awareness and raise money for St Jude Children's Research Hospital. You don't get much better than that!
